Fall Of Romanov Dynasty DVD

This is the first historical documentary produced by the Soviet cinema. To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the February 1917 revolution, the director sought out and wove together shots from newsreels and private films to depict the Romanovs and events leading to their fall. She created a masterwork of editing. This re-released version, produced in 1967, includes a prologue putting the film in the context of 1927 revolutionary art and is accompanied by music. Directed by Esfir Shub.
