The Star Of Africa
(Der Stern Von Afrika)

Witness the dashing exploits of Hans-Joachim Marseille, a Luftwaffe ace with 158 confirmed kills. During WW2, Marseille gained glory as an attack-loving Flying Devil, while his superb fighting tactics made him one of Germany's most renowned aces. This was proved on September 1, 1942 when he shot down 17 aircraft in a single day. Directed by Alfred Weidenmann; featuring Joachim Hansen and Mariane Koch.

West Germany, 1957, B&W, 105 minutes, German with English subtitles.
