THROUGH ENEMY EYES - A Newsreel History of the Third Reich at War
International Historic Films takes you behind enemy lines on a journey that traces the rise and fall of German military fortunes... the great battles, the
desperate hours captured via authentic uncut
newsreels, exactly as presented to German wartime
cinema audiences. You've seen the Allied footage;
now see the Second World War as you've never seen
it before: Through Enemy Eyes.
All newsreels have been transferred from original 35 millimeter and 16 millimeter German prints and have been accurately translated
and electronically subtitled in English by
International Historic Films, Inc. .
A NOTE ON CHRONOLOGY:
In order to present this newsreel series to coincide with various WW2 anniversaries, the series was
initially released from July 1942 to march 1945 (Sets 1 -8)
The earlier newsreels from Sept.1939 through
July 1942 (Sets 9-17) were released subsequently. Initially, it was not known
how many newsreels would complete the series due to the
production/restoration process. This resulted in some inadvertent
discrepancies in the newsreel volumes (missing volume numbers 37-45).
This discrepancy is to be disregarded;
the volumes listed in this catalog contain the complete series.
