Volume 14/ 23 Newsreels with English Subtitles Aug. 24-1944-March 22, 1945

In this collection, we see the final phase of the Second World War being lost by the Germans on all fronts: the Warsaw Uprising is brutally suppressed, after which the Germans evacuate it in the face of the Red Army, Tiger and Panther tanks engage T-34s in the East, German counterattacks in Latvia, Allied bombers brought down by flak, and fighter ace Erich Hartmann decorated by Hitler, plus Guderian addressing Hitler Youth.

There is also footage of German combat teams in the Carpathian Mountains, one-man torpedo missions in action, the Nazis leaving Finland, and new antitank weapons destroying Soviet armor, while British paratroopers are defeated at Arnhem, and Estonian refuges fleeing to the Third Reich in the face of Red Army advances.

We see Rommel’s State Funeral at Ulm, the Soviet steamroller breakthrough in Hungary, Himmler addressing People’s Army volunteers, and German naval gunnery at the Baltic port city of Memel aiding in its defense, plus Soviet massacres at Nemmersdorf.

Finally, we see Sherman tanks destroyed by King Tigers, house-to-house fighting in the Saar, the flight of a V-2 rocket, fighting for Budapest, and Hitler’s last front visit.
