11 German Newsreels with English Subtitles March 14, 1940-Aug. 7, 1940

Here we see Hitler calling for the greatest victory in German history, the first British Tommy soldiers captured by the Germans, Mussolini and Hitler meeting at the Brenner Pass, Germany invading Norway and Denmark, the Danish surrender, Oslo captured by the German Army, Rudolf Hess praising Nazism, and a Royal Navy convoy retreating from Namsos.

There is also the German invasion of Western Europe, Luxembourg and Belgium under the Nazi heel, Dutch bridges blown in Holland, the Albert Canal crossed by rafts, the Maasstricht Bridgehead taken, paratroopers dropped over Holland, and the capture of Fort Eben Emael.

We also view Guderian's tanks breaching the vaunted French Maginot Line, Alsace-Lorraine retaken by the Reich, the German Army parading in fallen Paris, and the Franco-German ceasefire signed in Marshal Foch's railway dining car at Compiegne Forest.

From endless lines of French Army POWs to Hitler touring Paris, from Fascist Italy's role in defeating France to Hitler's triumphant return to Berlin, it's all here in wartime cinematic footage.
