A chronicle of the tumultuous life and times of Eugenie Cotton, noted French communist and head of the International Women’s Democratic Federation, highlighting Cotton’s role in the wartime French resistance, her testimony at the Nuremberg trials, her 1946 visit to the Soviet Union and postwar leadership in women’s peace movements (including her protest against France’s War in Vietnam), as well as scenes from her private life.
