This film is about Lieutenant Colonel Marina Popovich, the Soviet test pilot and engineer who set 13 world records. An introductory segment on the romantic aspects of flying, which had been primarily a man's profession, is followed by a biography of Marina illustrated by interviews and off-screen commentary.
