In this stellar collection, we see German troops arriving in Budapest, Finnish front defenses, Pripet Marsh battles, German paratroopers defending the ruins of Monte Cassino, Luftwaffe bombings of Nikolaev railways and factories, and huge Gigant cargo planes supplying the Crimean Peninsula, plus street fighting in the Kovel suburbs.
There is also Hitler inspecting anti-tank weapons, Allied bombers shot down over the Alps, one-armed Gen. Hube’s Berlin funeral, SS Brigade Wallonia parading in Brussels, and the final preparations to repel the Allied invasion of Northwest Europe.
In addition, we witness floodgates opened in Flanders and Holland, Rommel addressing Atlantic Wall defenders, the D-Day invasion, and the subsequent Battle of Normandy, plus Germany’s famed Greater Germany Division in defensive actions.
There is also the Japanese bombing of US shipping, Rumanian refugees fleeing the Red Army, an Allied submarine struck by depth charges, and the SS Hitler Youth Division at war. Street battles rage in the Bayeaux region, coastal batteries blast Allied ships off Normandy, Allied planes bombard Caen, bomb damage at Le Harve harbor, and intensive hedgerow combat during the Battle of St.-Lo, plus Gen. Dietl’s Berlin funeral after his death in an air crash.
