10 German Newsreels with English Subtitles Nov. 26, 1941-Apr. 16, 1942

In this superlative collection of weekly wartime Nazi newsreels, we see the State Funeral of Luftwaffe Stuka expert Gen. Ernst Udet, Leningrad under bombardment, and Yalta taken on the Black Sea, plus German troops in action outside Moscow, Axis troops fighting British and Commonwealth New Zealanders in North Africa; and Finns fighting in Karelia. There is also heavy combat action near Sevastopol in the Crimea.

SS Gen. Sepp Dietrich wins the Oak Leaves to his Knight's Cross while heavy artillery shells Sevastopol's Citadel; Romanian Army troops assault Feodosia, U-boats deploy against the United States, and Axis Pact forces advance in Libya against Benghazi.

Next we witness the winter war in Karelia, U-boats off New York City, Japanese operations in the Pacific, Sevastopol encircled by the Germans and Romanians, and the Luftwaffe bombing Malta's naval base of Port Valetta.

There are also scenes of winter warfare in Russia's Donets Basin, Armed Forces Day celebrated in Berlin, the daring British naval raid on the German-held French port of St. Nazaire, a German sea raider deployed on the Indian Ocean, and the advance into the Kerch Peninsula in the Crimea. This is wartime combat footage at its very best!
